What Is a Healthy Cat Many adult domestic cats fall somewhere around 8–12 pounds, but healthy cat weight is not a universal number. Frame, breed, age, muscle, body fat and activity all matter, so treat the range as a starting point rather than a verdict. The scale matters. Body shape and weight history matter more.
